Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift
Announce CMA Nominations on Sept. 10
Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum and James
Otto will announce the final nominees for the 2008 CMA
Awards on Sept. 10 in New York and Nashville. Rascal
Flatts and Swift will be in New York to reveal the
nominees in select categories on ABC’s Good Morning
America. Following the GMA segment, Lady Antebellum
and Otto will announce the remaining nominations dur-
ing special half-hour edition of CMT Insider airing
live from the Sommet Center in Nashville. CMT’s Katie
Cook and Lance Smith will provide an analysis of this
year’s contenders. The 42nd annual CMA Awards show
takes place Nov. 12 during a live broadcast on ABC.

Keith Urban Sings With Olivia Newton-John
On New Duets Album
Keith Urban duets with pop star Olivia Newton-John on
her forthcoming album, Olivia Newton-John & Friends:
A Celebration in Song on Capitol-EMI Records. Their
joint contribution is “Sunburned Country,” a song the
two Australian singers co-wrote for Newton-John’s
earlier duet album, Olivia (2), which was released in
Australia in 2002. The new project, royalties from
which will be donated to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer
and Wellness Center, also includes pairings with Barry
Gibb, Cliff Richard, Richard Marx, Jann Arden, Delta
Goodrem, Melinda Schneider, Jimmy Barnes, Sun, John
Farrar, Amy Sky & RyanDan and Belinda Emmett. The
album will be out Sept. 2.
